Digital Marketing Analyst

Carnegie Dartlet is looking for a Marketing Analyst to join our growing Digital team in Westford, Massachusetts. The Marketing Analyst will work with a variety of marketing attribution products, including but not limited to Google Analytics, Data Studio, and our customer data platform.

Candidates must have a passion for data, visualization, and an analytical mindset to help derive insight from data. Past experience with digital marketing and working with large sets of digital KPI metrics will be important, as the Digital Marketing Analyst will assist in delivering macro benchmarking and trending data for the agency. They will also be responsible for assisting in reporting and analysis of high-value client accounts and should be comfortable presenting reports and recommendations directly to clients.

While Carnegie Dartlet is currently working remotely due to COVID-19, the Digital Marketing Analyst should be open to working in our office in Westford, Massachusetts, in the future.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing data across client campaigns to inform campaign benchmarks and industry trends
  • Sharing cross-client behavioral and attribution insights with broader Digital division to drive thought leadership and build team expertise
  • Proactively shaping new ways to visualize and unlock insights around marketing campaign engagement
  • Building planned and ad-hoc reports and analyses from multiple data sources that tell a story through the use of data
  • Collaborating with Inbound and Paid Media team members on campaign strategy recommendations informed by data
  • Providing consultative guidance on web personalization strategies from data insights
  • Delivering reports to key clients (via calls)
  • Consulting with ongoing maintenance and enhancements to data visualization dashboards (Data Studio specifically)

A pre-existing understanding of the higher education marketplace and the website audiences for personalization targeting is a plus. If no past experience, the willingness and ability to quickly learn new markets is a must.

The right person for this role will be someone comfortable with new technology, who has the ability to quickly learn and acclimate to it, and can help integrate it into the company’s overall services to drive innovation in the industry. 

This position reports directly to our VP of Inbound Marketing.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) related to marketing, user experience, or data science
  • 5 years of experience in a marketing data analyst role 
  • Expertise with web analytics and digital marketing a must
  • Comfortable in a client-facing role
  • Ability to communicate effectively to varying stakeholders (from IT to Marketing VPs) internally and externally
  • Aptitude to learn new technologies
  • Excel/Google Sheet expertise
  • Experience with Google Data Studio
  • Experience with a Customer Data Platform and Attribution a plus
  • Experience building data-driven attribution models a plus
  • Knowledge or experience in higher education a plus
