Digital Marketing Specialist, Website Personalization

Carnegie Dartlet is looking for a motivated full-time Digital Marketing Specialist to join the Inbound Marketing team to support Carnegie Clarity™, Carnegie Dartlet’s proprietary web personalization and marketing attribution service. The Digital Marketing Specialist will manage website personalization interaction campaigns and customer data platforms for our higher education clients.

Personalized website content interactions are independent web elements (e.g., lightboxes and pop-ups) targeted to specific website user audiences that conform with our clients’ website styles.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the day-to-day website personalization campaign activities across multiple accounts, including campaign strategy, audience targeting, platform setup, and campaign performance analysis 
  • Communicate insights and performance trends for website personalization campaigns to internal teams and clients
  • Collaborate with the Paid Digital team to ensure alignment between interactions or campaigns and paid media marketing efforts
  • Setup, maintain, and leverage a customer data platform (CDP) for each client’s marketing goals
  • Code personalized website content interactions/campaigns using HTML, CSS, and JS
  • Test website personalizations for quality control and responsive design best practicesCreate original copy for personalization campaigns and review/edit creative as needed
  • Work on special projects as needed to support the Clarity team

Carnegie Clarity™ services are bringing groundbreaking new technology and marketing tactics to the higher education industry. The right person for this role will be someone comfortable with new technology, have the ability to quickly learn and acclimate to it, and help integrate it into overall services to drive innovation in the industry. This person will also be comfortable interacting with clients and internal stakeholders.

This position reports directly to our Assistant Director, Marketing Technology. While Carnegie Dartlet is currently working remotely due to COVID-19, candidates should be open to working in our office in Westford, Massachusetts, in the future.

Qualifications and necessary skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) related to Marketing
  • 1–3 years of experience in a digital marketing campaign management role
  • Experience with web analytics (i.e., Google Analytics) and data visualization; experience with Google Big Query and Google Data Studio a plus 
  • Experience with front-end languages (HTML, CSS, JS) and best practices for responsive web design
  • Strong ability to adapt to new technologies
  • Excellent critical-thinking and computational-thinking skills
  • Interpersonal, time management, and project management skills a must
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with marketing automation or customer data platforms (CDP) a plus but not required
  • Past experience in the higher education field a plus but not required
