Director of Partnerships

Carnegie Dartlet is looking for a Director of Partnerships for the CollegeXpress team in Westford, Massachusetts. This role will help grow our affiliate marketing channel by identifying potential partnerships through research and outreach, building and maintaining relationships with partners that match the CollegeXpress mission, monitoring campaigns, and expanding current partnerships in new and innovative ways that drive traffic and brand awareness. The ideal candidate will enjoy cultivating business relationships while playing with data and making strategic decisions. 

While Carnegie Dartlet is currently working remotely due to COVID-19, the Director of Partnerships should be open to working in our office in Westford, Massachusetts, in the future.

Responsibilities include but aren't limited to:

  • Developing an affiliate/growth strategy plan for web site traffic and registrations including budget allocations, future planning, and process organization
  • Seeking new affiliate opportunities though consistent outreach and setting up calls and information-gathering sessions
  • Monitoring affiliate activity and analyzing performance while providing feedback and recommendations to both the CX team and the partner on how to enhance performance/relationship
  • Handling campaign management, including providing assets, proper links, database setup, etc. to ensure seamless setup of new affiliates
  • Tracking performance of campaigns that are live and delivering monthly/quarterly reports that show status of current affiliate relationships and those in the pipeline

Skills required:

  • Proactive attitude/self-motivated
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and customer service skills
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to speak technically for data integration; programming or DBA skills a plus but not required
  • Well organized and able to prioritize/structure workload accordingly without oversight
  • An understanding of/familiarity with measurement, attribution, and tracking
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office and Google Docs/Drive


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Business, Marketing, Communications, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience within the affiliate industry
  • 3+ years of experience in a management position
  • Experience with business development and strategic marketing required
  • A minimum basic understanding of Google Analytics required; expertise a plus
  • Experience with a partner/affiliate marketing platform recommended
