Junior Digital Advertising Copywriter

Are you an exceptional writer who has experience creating copy for digital advertisements? Carnegie Dartlet is looking for a Junior Digital Advertising Copywriter who can create compelling ad content for our higher education clients. This person will be responsible for researching client websites, social channels, and other assets in order to extract key information and translate facts into persuasive, branded messaging. They will combine both strategic and creative thinking in order to produce copy that’s unique, engaging, and in line with campaign goals. 

The Junior Digital Advertising Copywriter will report to the Senior Digital Advertising Copywriter and work closely with our Paid Media teams, whose specialists are responsible for the strategy, targeting, setup, and monitoring of all digital campaigns. The Junior Digital Advertising Copywriter will be responsible for not only creating content for various brand voices but repurposing copy for different channels and mediums, including Display, PPC, and social media ads as well as landing pages and supplemental website content. The successful candidate will have a passion for understanding higher education institutions and their prospective students and creating original content that unites them. 

While Carnegie Dartlet is currently working remotely due to COVID-19, candidates should be open to working in our office in Westford, Massachusetts, in the future.

Responsibilities of the Junior Digital Advertising Copywriter include:

  • Auditing, evaluating, and distilling complex messaging and brand strategy so it can be translated into persuasive digital advertising copy that’s cohesive across multiple mediums as necessary
  • Writing ad copy for Google Search ads (PPC), Display ads, social media advertising (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), and landing pages that’s creative and compelling while adhering to digital marketing best practices
  • Producing strategic, inspired, well-written paid media content that aligns with clients’ branding and style guidelines as well as their goals and objectives
  • Writing short-form copy for company’s proprietary tool that provides dynamic copy for client websites
  • Collaborating with team members to evaluate client feedback, brainstorm A/B ad copy tests, and adapt content as needed   

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Writing, or related field
  • 1–2 years of professional writing experience in marketing and communications
  • A passion for creative content and original expression
  • Exceptional grammar and proofreading skills
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Clear, consistent, and grammatically sound writing skills
  • Demonstrable proficiency in adhering to style guides, brand standards, and digital ad best practices 
  • The ability to understand the needs of clients, consumers, and target audiences
  • The resilience to work across a number of projects and balance a workload
  • Experience with higher education marketing a plus
