Carnegie Communications Announces Strategic Acquisition of i-studentgroup, Expanding Its Digital and Lead Generation Services Internationally

For Immediate Release—WESTFORD, MA, December 21, 2017—Carnegie Communications LLC, the leader in integrated marketing and lead generation since 1985 and the first higher education agency to offer digital services to colleges and universities, announced today the acquisition of i-studentgroup, a digital marketing innovator offering services for higher education institutions globally. The acquisition significantly broadens Carnegie’s footprint worldwide and expands their digital product offerings.

After the completion of the acquisition, i-studentgroup was renamed Carnegie Communications Global and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Carnegie Communications. Joe Moore, Chairman and CEO of Carnegie, will serve as Chairman. Paul Loftus, CEO of i-studentgroup, will be President and CEO. Meghan Dalesandro, President of Carnegie, will serve as COO. The headquarters will be located in Brighton and Hove, United Kingdom.

Carnegie first entered the international student recruitment market with the introduction of their AC&U lead generation service in 1999. In subsequent years, Carnegie expanded their services and successfully executed digital marketing campaigns for US universities to recruit international students. Leveraging that experience and combining it with i-studentgroup’s global expertise, the company is now positioned to provide their student recruitment solutions to universities around the world.

“Our strategic plans have always included expanding internationally. This acquisition positions us to do that much more quickly,” said Moore. “We are very pleased to welcome Paul and his team to Carnegie. The knowledge and global experience they bring will be invaluable to our clients.”

“I’m delighted to be leading the transformation of i-studentgroup into Carnegie Communications Global,” Loftus said. “Carnegie’s wealth of experience and well-established client base is the perfect match for our industry-leading digital marketing products and our websites whystudyhere.com and i-studentglobal.com. We’re really excited about 2018 and the prospect of taking the Carnegie brand into the international marketplace.”

“Carnegie’s mission has always been to help students find the right universities and colleges and, additionally, help universities and colleges find the right students. Now, with i-studentgroup, we’re able to offer our comprehensive marketing solutions worldwide,” said Dalesandro.

Similar to the one-day Carnegie-Google digital marketing workshops Carnegie has become known for, Carnegie Communications Global will offer a seminar as part of the Asian-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) in March, with more seminars to be planned in other parts of the world.
