Cited in Forbes as the most influential woman in social media and recognized by ForbesWoman as one of the top 20 women bloggers, Ann is the Chief Content Officer of MarketingProfs, a training and education company with the largest community of marketers in its category. She is a monthly columnist for Entrepreneur magazine, a member of the LinkedIn Influencer program, and the co-author of the best-selling book on content marketing, Content Rules: How to Create Killer Blogs, Podcasts, Videos, Ebooks, Webinars (and More) That Engage Customers and Ignite Your Business (Wiley, originally published 2011. Paperback 2012). The book has been translated into nine languages, including Turkish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Italian, and Portuguese. She currently has close to 200,000 followers on Twitter and writes about content, marketing, and life at the highly entertaining AnnHandley.com.

A pioneer in digital marketing, Ann is the co-founder of ClickZ.com, which was one of the first sources of interactive marketing news and commentary. She started her career as a business journalist and editor.

Ann is based in Boston, Massachusetts.

Scott has 19 years of marketing and strategy development experience across small and large corporations, start-­ups, nonprofits, and government institutions.

Throughout his career, Scott has developed, launched, and managed more than 27 new brands, developed marketing programs in more than 50 countries, and served in a broad range of marketing strategy, new product development, public relations, and organizational leadership roles.

Scott is currently the Vice President for Enrollment and Marketing at Manchester University. He is the University’s chief strategist on enrollment, marketing, and retention and is also responsible for growth initiatives. Previously, Scott served as Vice President of Integrated Marketing and Communications for Valparaiso University, where he was the University’s chief marketing officer and oversaw all major marketing and communication operations. Prior to Valpo, Scott worked on shaping corporate innovation strategies and structures for an innovation strategy consultancy and has held marketing leadership roles at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Battelle Memorial Institute, The Dow Chemical Company, and Meredith Corporation.

Scott graduated with a B.A. in marketing and advertising and a B.S. in music from Western Michigan University and holds an M.B.A. in marketing from Central Michigan University.

Joann McKenna

Joann is a highly experienced enrollment strategist and one of the early trailblazers in the evolution of college admission into the enrollment management profession. Known for maximizing the use of systems and data, she leads her team in leveraging predictive modeling and marketing analytics to inform strategy and influence high retention, student satisfaction, and graduation rates. Also known for her advocacy of students throughout the admission process, Joann is committed to the idea that student search, social media, and brand communication strategies must be equally matched with personal engagement with staff, faculty, and students, both on and off the campus. The door is always open, the phone is always answered.

In her role as Vice President at Bentley, Joann oversees Undergraduate Admission, Financial Aid, Institutional Research and Planning, Enrollment and Retention Analytics, and Enrollment Systems. A strong partner with and advocate of Bentley’s chief marketing officer and his division, she embraces the growing influence of marketing, communications, branding, and Web development on recruiting. Having just successfully recruited the best freshman class in Bentley history, Joann and her team continue to appreciate the behaviors and complexities of the Millennial generation.

Prior to her tenure at Bentley University, which began in 1993, Joann held positions in college admission at Siena College, Le Moyne College, and John Carroll University. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York.

Kristina Wong Davis is the Director for Outreach and Recruitment at The Ohio State University where she oversees all undergraduate recruitment. Kris earned her bachelor’s degree from The University of Arizona and her master's and doctoral degrees from Northern Arizona University. She has worked in higher education for nearly 20 years, beginning in alumni and development, college access programs, and finally admission. At the University of Arizona, Kris was responsible for re-initiating international strategic recruitment for undergraduate students while also working with transfer and domestic recruitment. She also spent time working for Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar while working on her dissertation. Kris returned to the United States to complete her doctoral degree and then moved to Ohio State where she has begun developing a strategic recruitment plan for the institution.

As Senior Vice President, Digital Services, Melissa works closely with all Regional Directors on digital marketing and recruitment programs for our clients. Due to the partnership nature of our client relationships, she is involved in the strategic planning and design of digital marketing programs. As someone who still loves putting together puzzles, she truly enjoys the challenge of creating just the right program to meet each school’s needs. She oversees the implementation and execution of each digital project as well as analysis and program evaluation. She is a regular presenter and speaker, educating schools about online strategies and integrating them with traditional enrollment methods.

Melissa's love for the digital space began in 1997 as a co-founder of the original Teen.com. She was instrumental in the growth and success of the business and the evolution within the teen market. In 2000 Teen People magazine named Teen.com as a Top Teen Website. Her passion and understanding of this audience continues today.

With two daughters in college, she sits squarely in the cross-hairs of many admission offices looking for a parent perspective. Her passions include her Australian Shepherd (Roxy), the ocean, college football, spending time with great friends, and country music.

Rebecca Miller

Rebecca Miller has worked closely with higher education creating meaningful change. With her biggest clients, Harvard Business School and Northeastern University, she has created over a hundred programs that have changed the public face of these institutions. She has worked with many other schools as well.

Working across the campus—with Admission, Alumni Relations, Marketing and Communications, Career and Professional Development, plus individual colleges within universities—she has created programs that have moved audiences to apply, to cheer, to inspire, to learn, and to donate. She works closely with clients as they develop their digital strategies and responds with creative solutions. She moves ideas into shows with exceptional scripts, high production values, surprising music choices, bold graphics, and original animation. Her programs have a signature punch, and she herself is an aggressive editor who likes to keep a show moving and an audience engaged.

Her recent projects include admission programs for Northeastern and Harvard Business School, a civil rights documentary for Northeastern Law, a new building/donor profile event show for HBS, three programs for Northeastern CCIS, and many others.

She launched her production company over 15 years ago producing programs for corporations like Hewlett-Packard, Gillette, American Express, and agencies like Jack Morton Worldwide. Her company, Optik Nerve, is located just outside of Boston in Wellesley, Massachusetts. (It is incorporated and a woman-owned business.)

She began her career in broadcast, and then worked for several production groups in the Boston area. She produced the PBS series Talking with David Frost and produced around the world with Luchiano Pavarotti, Jacques-Yves Cousteau, Bob Dole, and Benazir Bhutto. She was on staff with Smash Advertising creating branding elements for NBC, A&E, Court TV, and others. As a weekend artist, she works in oil and mixed media. She is a graduate of the R.I. School of Design and lives outside of Boston with her two funny teenagers.

Justin is also an active participant in the digital analytics community. Dan Shure

SEO is Dan’s obsession. This was pretty obvious to him as he watched Moz's Whiteboard Friday presentations on his iPhone while driving to work, trying to soak up everything he could. A side gig making websites and doing SEO led to Dan quitting his job to pursue SEO full time. Thus, the 2010 birth of Evolving SEO, a boutique SEO agency headquartered in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Since then Dan has worked with startups, e-commerce companies, bloggers, affiliate marketers, small businesses, large companies, and everything in between. He has shared his experience on his own blog and others (Advanced Web Ranking, Moz, Isoosi, Distilled, and more!).

Oli Gardner

Dr. Tracey Sheetz recently joined West Virginia University as the Director of Graduate Admissions and Recruitment, where she is responsible for instituting a new central office specifically for graduate enrollment. Her primary responsibility is to foster campus-wide engagement and collaboration between departments, offices, and schools while coordinating all admission, recruitment, marketing, and student services efforts in order to establish a streamlined, strategic, and comprehensive graduate enrollment management model. She is leading this transformation of the current admission and recruitment structure to a model capitalizing on her experience with cutting-edge marketing strategies, effective and efficient processes and procedures, multi-channel communication plans, and data.

Prior to joining West Virginia University, Tracey held an eclectic range of titles: she was an elementary teacher; founded, owned, and operated a private school/education center; owned a yoga studio and trained yoga instructors; and was an adjunct instructor for Penn State University and Seton Hill University. With a common thread of blending education with business, she has gained years of experience in marketing, strategy, leadership, and management.

Tracey earned a Ph.D. in instructional management and leadership, a Master of Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Education. In addition to graduate enrollment, she has experience in undergraduate admission, adult education, academic advisement, curriculum development, and teaching. Her research has been focused on the adult learner, and she has presented on topics such as instructional technology, data analysis, and andragogy. She is an active NAGAP member serving on the Professional Development Institute Committee.

Ryan O'Hara

Ryan O'Hara is Chief Marketing Officer for WhoQuest, a startup matching people with projects and companies that fit.

Prior to joining WhoQuest, Ryan served as the Chief Marketing Officer of ChartSpan, a digital health startup that allows people to request, organize, and send health and immunization records like it isn't 1985. Ryan was also an early employee at Internet infrastructure company Dyn in Manchester, New Hampshire. It was there that he helped start the business development team and ran promotional campaigns that have been featured on TheNextWeb, Fortune, CNN, and Mashable.

Ryan specializes in branding, business development marketing, and coaching people on how to make good digital first impressions. He mentors for the Southeast's largest business accelerator, The Iron Yard, and is the proud owner of two corgis named Finnegan and Scarlett.

Sundar Kumarasamy

Sundar Kumarasamy, Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing, joined the University of Dayton in 2007. Since then, he has led a transformation of the University’s enrollment and marketing efforts through strategic research and a rebranding campaign that has positioned the University ahead of the curve of emerging demographic issues. The admission experience for prospective students has been deeply and authentically personalized through cutting-edge digital innovations and the engagement of the entire campus community as ambassadors for the University—from deans to parking attendants. As a result, the University has exceeded enrollment targets for three straight years while enrolling the most academically talented students and largest number of out-of-state students in its history.

The Chronicle of Higher Education profiled Sundar in January, 2012, describing him as "one of the most daring innovators in admissions." A nationally recognized leader in higher education, he regularly makes presentations to the College Board and to conferences and seminars on data-driven enrollment management and marketing methods. He has been quoted frequently in the news media, including U.S.News & World Report, Forbes, Inside Higher Ed, BusinessWeek, The Washington Post, and Chicago Tribune. Sundar is a graduate of Philadelphia University and holds a Master of Science in Instructional Technology.

Liz Rainwater

Liz Rainwater really doesn't know what she's doing. Her best guess is she was born under a lucky star and frequently finds herself in the right place at the right time. She does enjoy coloring and picking pretty people, so marketing was the best fit when she was searching for a job.
